A block of rooms has been reserved at the historic landmark Palms Motor Hotel, www.palmsmotel.com. The rooms are blocked for July 31 through August 2nd, but you must call to make your individual reservation for the days that you need a room. Call 503-287-5788 to reserve your room and make sure to say the group name Paige and Mateo to get the rate of only $45/night for one bed. The sooner you make the reservation the better, the deadline is July 15th. Rest assured we did preview the rooms to ensure they are clean and neat. You will not barf on sight, but the decor will be a conversation piece. Some other bonuses are: cafe one block away, the famous tiki karaoke lounge the Alibi is also up the street, good food, drinking and shopping on Mississippi street is a short 6 block walk, light rail stop (to downtown in 10 min.) across the street, free wifi, HBO, microwaves and mini fridges (classy!).

If you want to try something else, we recommend looking at the Ace Hotel, Kennedy School, Jupiter Hotel, the Hilton, and there is a slew of airport hotels as well.
